Kogi: APC Youths Fume, Fault Decision Of National Leadership
APC youth coalition for good governance has faulted the national leadership of the party on the choice of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the party’s governorship candidate in Kogi.
Spokesman of the group, Rotimi Sunday on Wednesday December 1, said that by picking Bello, the party has betrayed the sacrifice made by members of the coalition who voted for the APC.
Sunday warned that members of the coalition would not fold their arms and allow the APC leadership foist political crisis on Kogi people who have been cohabiting peacefully irrespective of religion and tribe.

He rejected the selection of Bello as replacement for the late Prince Abubakar Audu and insisted that Abiodun Faleke is the right candidate that should replace the late Audu.
Sunday said that Bello did not attend the 33 rallies held by the APC across the state to canvass for votes for the late Audu and Faleke.
The group called on the national chairman of the party, John Odigie-Oyegun and members of the national working committee to tow the line of honour by reversing themselves on the choice of Bello.

Sunday also criticised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for declaring the election inconclusive. He described the decision as ‘unconstitutional’.
In recent times, the bid to replace Prince Abubakar Audu, the late APC leading candidate in the gubernatorial election in Kogi, has been controversial.
Audu’s running mate, James Faleke who felt betrayed by the decision of the party to choose Bello had on Tuesday, December 1, filed a suit at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
