Dasuki Transferred To EFCC For Questioning?

Controversies trail the arrest of immediate past national security adviser Sambo Dasuki by the State Security Service (SSS).

Premium Times reports that the SSS is reportedly rejecting to release Dasuki to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for quizzing.

Joseph Daudu, senior lawyer from the ex-NSA’s legal team, said that he was aware the EFCC appealed to Justice Adeniyi Ademola to annul the bail his court granted Mr. Dasuki.

Daudu added that he was aware the request was pending before the court. But a source at the anti-graft commission said that the agency was working hard on getting the SSS to free former NSA to it for questioning.

Another source at the EFCC said if the police insists on not releasing him, operatives of the commission might go to the SSS’ office to question Dasuki.

However, SaharaReporters informs that the ex-official has been transferred into the custody of the anti-corruption agency.
A source said that Dasuki will be quizzed for his role in the $2.1 billion arms contract scandal.

Dasuki, former members of his personnel in the Office of the National Security Adviser, and AIT Chairman Raymond Dokpesi were arrested this week all in relation to this arms contract scandal.
