WB improves forecast on Armenia's economy for 2024 and 2025

YEREVAN, 12 June. /ARKA/. The World Bank says in its latest Global Economic Prospects, June 2024 report that it expects Armenia's economy to grow by 5.5 per cent in 2024./pp

In the previous report released last January, the WB forecasted that the Armenian economy would grow by 4.7 per cent in 2024. Thus, the forecast has been improved by 0.8 pp./pp

At the same time, in the current report, the WB analysts expect Armenia's GDP to grow by 4.9% in 2025 (the forecast has been improved by 0.4 p.p. compared to January), and by 4.5% in 2026./pp

Armenia's economic growth in the state budget for 2024 is envisaged at 7 per cent. -0-/p
