Armenia ratifies agreement on military-technical cooperation with Greece

YEREVAN, 12 June. /ARKA/. The Armenian Parliament on Wednesday ratified the agreement ‘On Military and Technical Cooperation between the Governments of Armenia and Greece’./pp
The agreement was signed on 14 December 2023 in Athens by Greek National Defence Minister Nikolaos Dendias and Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan./pp
The agreement defines the areas of cooperation between the parties, in particular the promotion of research into new technologies and military products with the aim of strengthening defence capabilities./pp
The agreement includes such important areas of cooperation as technology transfer and technical support for the production of weapons, ammunition and explosives, exchange of information and experience in ammunition production, research in the field of military products and their production, establishment of joint organisations for their production, etc. The agreement provides for the training of technical personnel and the provision of technical support for the production of weapons, ammunition and explosives./pp
In order to implement the agreement and develop cooperation, the sides will set up an Armenian-Greek commission, which will have to evaluate the agreement, submit proposals and priorities for further development of cooperation. -0-/pp --/p
