Pashinyan: OSCE Minsk Group de facto ceased to exist in 2022

YEREVAN, June 12. /ARKA/. The OSCE Minsk Group, formed in 1992 to encourage a peaceful, negotiated resolution of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh, has been sacralized in Armenia for many years, the country’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Wednesday./pp “However, the co-chairs and members of this group have not been interacting with each other, which means that the Minsk Group does not de facto exist,” he said./pp
Azerbaijan’s leader Ilham Aliyev said on 6 June that Yerevan and Baku should address the OSCE to initiate the dissolution of the Minsk Group, created in 1992 to encourage a peaceful, negotiated resolution of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh. Aliyev also demanded amendments to the Armenian Constitution, calling it an essential condition for the peace treaty./p br
