Real Madrid win Copa tie - but could be thrown out of competition
Isco struck twice as Real Madrid won 3-1 at Copa del Rey opponents Cadiz tonight.
Denis Cheryshev also scored as Real eased into the last 16 of the Copa.
However, AS is reporting Real could be thrown out of the competition over the Russian.
Due to an accumulation of yellow cards while playing for Villarreal, Cheryshev should have completed a sanction and sat out tonight's encounter. This oversight may cost Real Madrid their spot in la Copa.
Cádiz will have to make an official complaint concerning the infringement by 2pm tomorrow to the Spanish football federation.
In 2015 Osasuna were eliminated in a similar case when they played Mirandés in last's season's Copa del Rey.
