Taylor Swift Stood Up To The Australian Media For Invading Her Privacy
“Take it down a notch.”
Taylor Swift is currently in Australia, slaying all of our goddamn lives on the last leg of her 1989 World Tour.
Last night on Instagram, she posted this photo with a caption basically asking the Australian media to rack off.
"So stoked to be able to take my band and crew on a vacation at the end of a long and wonderful tour. For all their hard work this year, they really deserve it. Thank you to Hamilton Island for taking such great care of 125 of the people who work tirelessly to make sure the 1989 World Tour stage gets built, the lights are on, the costumes are made, the guitars are tuned, and the show goes on.
Aussie press, I love your enthusiasm but my birthday isn't for 2 weeks and it'll be a quiet one this year. Let's take it down a notch:)"
Tay is currently on Hamilton Island, enjoying some downtime before her show there on Friday and her concert in Brisbane on Saturday.
She called for a total media ban on the island (which is legal, because the island is privately owned), but of course, everyone wanted to get a glimpse of her.
Morning show Sunrise sent a reporter, Michelle Tapper, to the island, who was promptly told to go home by security.
Tapper commented: “I have never encountered anything like this before in 20 years of journalism. This is a pretty outrageous media ban made for just one person”.
