Pashinyan: "real Armenia" is the Armenia where people no longer want to suffer and fight, but simply live
ArmInfo. The citizens of the RA have accepted the idea of "real Armenia" put forward by the country's
authorities, which in itself is an interesting fact. This was stated by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the 4th political meeting of the ruling Civil Contract party in Hankavan on June 2.
According to him, the people accepted this idea, put forward by the
ruling party just a few years ago. "Meanwhile, these ideas, especially in
the environment we have gone through, could not be accepted so quickly.
This could only happen if they are not the initiatives of the ruling force
itself, but of the people themselves. The authorities accepted this idea,
re-formatting it into a political ideology," Pashinyan said.
According to the head of the Armenian government, this is the reason
why another opposition movement in the country has failed. "A political
force has emerged in Armenia that takes ideas from the people and forms
them as a political ideology. The people are not the object, but the
subject of this ideology. The ruling majority is merely an expression of
the will of society. "Real Armenia" is the Armenia where the people no
longer want to suffer and fight, but simply want to live," Pashinyan said,
adding that this ideology is a message from the people to the elites and
the Civil Contract party itself, as the ruling majority. "Usually, isolated
elites tried to introduce ideologies created by themselves or others that
they adopted into the people, often imposing them through administrative
levers, sometimes using force," he said.
The agenda of the party's political meeting included issues related
to the ideology of real Armenia and the work of party bodies in the
regions and in Yerevan. Chairman of the party's board, Prime Minister of
Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and board member Gnel Sanosyan made reports and
answered questions from the participants of the political meeting.
