Sensex falters, sinks 231 points after Yellen's remarks

A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip sensitive index sensex, on Thursday closed 231.23 points down after Fed chair Janet Yellen hinted at a rate hike. Stocks of IT and auto came under selling pressure as incessant rain in Chennai and other parts of TN hit their operations hard.
