One killed, three injured in KZN crash

One person was killed and three others were injured when a bakkie and a car collided on the N2 near Paddock in KZN.

Durban - One person was killed and three others were injured when a bakkie and a car collided on the N2 near Paddock on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast on Thursday.

KwaZulu-Natal Road Traffic Inspectorate spokeswoman Zinhle Mngomezulu said ?the two vehicles collided head-on and that one of the occupants from the bakkie was killed.

Robert McKenzie, spokesman for the KwaZulu-Natal provincial Emergency Medical Service said that ?two of the injured were in a critical condition while the third was described as being in a serious condition. The injured were taken to Port Shepstone provincial hospital.

Mngomezulu said that a case of culpable homicide was being investigated.
