Mobile outlet Traplight has been boosted by another successful injection of investment.
The Finnish studio, founded by former Sega, Warner, Disney and LucasArts collaborators, is yet to launch its first title, upcoming ‘puzzle-racer’ Big Bang Racing.
Traplight’s second round of funding added €1.3 million (£0.92m) to its total, which now exceeds €2 million (£1.4m).
“We are thrilled to get further game industry talent and expertise on board at Traplight” said Traplight CEO Riku Rakkola.
“The funding will help us finalise our debut title, which is scheduled to launch in 2016, and provides us the opportunity to concentrate on new game projects.”
Lead investor Initial Capital has previously backed mobile success stories Supercell and Glu Mobile.
Other supporters of Traplight include Sunstone Capital and Finnvera Venture Capital, plus angel investor Kenrick Drijkoningen and former investor Henric Suuronen.
Traplight has also been helped by Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation – the studio is currently involved in the organisation’s Young Innovative Company funding programme.
