PM Modi urges better accessibility for people with special needs

On a day the Central government launched its “Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan” (Accessible India campaign) Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for need to make accessibility for those with special needs as a key component of all policy planning and all smart city projects. Making inclusive development the basis, union ministry of social justice and empowerment has committed to the goal of working towards making 50% of all government buildings in the National Capital and all state Capitals as “accessible” for people with special needs by 2018.
