Britain joins US-led Syria air war, Putin vows more sanctions on Turkey

While Britain on Thursday joined the US-led air strikes against Islamic State in Syria, Vladimir Putin issued bitter new denunciations of Turkey for shooting down a Russian plane. Meanwhile, the US said it will not launch a 2003-style invasion of Syria or Iraq.
