Strike failed to disrupt hospitals - Rajitha

Services at hospitals were not disrupted by the strike called by 18 trade Unions including the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA), Cabinet spokesman, Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said.

Speaking at the post Cabinet press briefing at the Government Information Department Auditorium. the Minister said that the Association of Medical Specialists did not join the trade union action. Emergency and Accident Service, ICU, Administration, and a part of OPD in National Hospitals including island-wide government hospitals functioned without any disruption.
