Parliament is beginning the discussion of the government-proposed draft law on witnesses questioning. The document will be considered inthe Human Rights Committee today.

The changes are associated with the interrogation and witness questioning in the process of investigation, according to which the witness has the right of choice, to give or not to give information to the investigator or a representative of the defense if he does not want it.

At the same time, the bill provides for the prosecution the right to petition the magistrant judge to interrogate in hs presence a person who may have important information about the crime.

Remarks regarding the bill were made both by the majority and the opposition.
