Base Erosion and Profit Sharing plan is a fair tax treatment for all, says former chairperson of CBDT

India has been an active participant in the Base Erosion and Profit Sharing (BEPS) action plan, the final package of which was rolled out by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in October. The action points, set down by the OECD, aim at closing loopholes that enable MNCs to shift profits to low or nil tax countries.
