Batman v Superman trailer: Wonder Woman, Doomsday, Lex Luthor and 18 other things you need to see
While 2015 has been a stellar year for stupendously huge blockbusters - with The Avengers, James Bond and Star Wars all released within the space of 8 months – there are more massive films to look forward to next year.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice sees the highly-anticipated return of two iconic superheroes to the big screen, as DC Comics begin to assemble their Avengers-style film universe.
The latest trailer for the super-powered smackdown is certainly high octane.
The three minute clip introduces Ben Affleck’s take on Bruce Wayne (spoiler alert: he’s Batman), Jesse Eisenberg’s unusual squeaky-voiced incarnation of Superman baddie Lex Luthor, and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.
Then there's the small matter of Doomsday, a huge mutated rampaging monster - what are the chances that Batman and Superman will put their petty squabbles aside and team up to save the day?
The film follows on from 2013 Superman origin story Man of Steel, with Henry Cavill returning as the Kryptonian boy scout – and it seems the repercussions of his Metropolis-destroying scuffle with warrior Zod are what leads to his feud with Gotham’s dark knight.
Take a look above as we scour through the details revealed in the trailer – and prepare to get excited for the film’s release on March 25.
