Manuel appointed to Old Mutual board
Trevor Manuel is scheduled to join the Old Mutual board as a non-executive director and member of the board risk committee.
|||Johannesburg - Trevor Manuel, the former finance minister, had been appointed as the new non-executive chairman at Old Mutual Group’s emerging markets division, the company said yesterday.
Manuel, 59, is scheduled to join the Old Mutual board with effect from January 1, as a non-executive director and member of the board risk committee.
“The current chairman of Old Mutual Group Holdings, Paul Hanratty, leaves the group during 2016,” the company said.
The Old Mutual Group is the parent company of Old Mutual Emerging Markets and Nedbank Group.
Patrick O’Sullivan, the chairman of Old Mutual, said: “We are delighted to be able to appoint Mr Manuel to our board, given his wealth of experience in advising and guiding the development of the financial services sector in emerging markets.”
