Lamborghini Urus SE: India Launch Confirmed For August 9

The Italian giant, Lamborghini is set to expand its Urus lineup in India with the launch of the plug-in hybrid SE variant on August 9, 2024. Unveiled globally in April, the Urus SE boasts a powerful combination of a twin-turbo V8 engine and an electric motor, delivering enhanced performance and efficiency.

Hybrid Powertrain

The Urus SE combines a potent 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a plug-in hybrid system featuring a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This combination results in a formidable 800 horsepower and 950 Nm of torque, propelling the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in a blistering 3.4 seconds and onto a top speed of 312 km/h. The electric motor, integrated into the 8-speed automatic gearbox, offers an electric-only range of 60 kilometers.

Design Enhancements

Building on the aggressive stance of the standard Urus, the SE introduces refined design elements. Slimmer LED headlights with Matrix technology, a redesigned front bumper, and a new tailgate contribute to its distinctive look. The interior is equally elevated with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and updated cabin trims.

Advanced Features

The Urus SE comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance technologies, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. For added convenience, self-parking assistance is available as an option.

Competition and Pricing

Positioned as a flagship model, the Urus SE is expected to command a significant premium over the existing Urus variants. It will rival other high-performance luxury SUVs such as the BMW XM, Audi RS Q8, Lotus Eletre, Porsche Cayenne GTS, and Aston Martin DBX 707.
