Roma reportedly interested in Saudi Pro League player as they compete with Aston Villa

Roma are in the hunt for a right-back.

According to teamtalk.com, the Giallorossi have shown interest in a player from the Saudi Pro League.

The player in question is Saud Abdulhamid, a Saudi national born in 1999 and currently on the books at Al-Hilal.

Roma’s interest, however, is not without competition.

Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are also reportedly keen on the defender.

A duel between the Italian and English clubs seems to be on the horizon.

Sources close to the negotiation have hinted at the intensity of the interest from both clubs, suggesting a serious battle for Abdulhamid’s signature.

“Both Roma and Aston Villa see Abdulhamid as a vital addition to strengthen their defence,” said a source close to the dealings, as reported by teamtalk.com.
