Paul Mauro: The Secret Service Is Responsible For All The Perimeters
Retired NYPD inspector Paul Mauro joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to discuss the failure of the Secret Service and the Butler County Sheriff’s Department to secure the perimeter of the rally venue, ultimately leading to an assassination attempt against former President Trump.
“The attempted murder of Trump is a federal crime. And the FBI has the ticket on that. The killing of that local firefighter and the wounding of the other two attendees are state crimes that the state is going to have. So you got a series of different cases, all of which are operating off of the same evidence. So they likely, somewhat naively thought, okay, you know what? We’re all in this together. We’re going to put our statements together, etc., and the feds do what they always do, especially when they’re dealing with locals, is they break first and they get out ahead of it. The CIA, especially under this administration, and that’s what’s going on. I’ll tell you right now the responsibility here for all of this is the Service. Even if there was an agreement that that roof would be, they said all the perimeters. So, this idea that we said locals, you have the outside perimeter. We have the inside perimeter. Nonsense. They’re responsible for all the perimeters. They’re responsible to make sure all those things are covered. The only way I see this completely devolving to the locals is if, in the operational plan. And there will be a plan, there will be a writing, which is it’s going to be subpoenaed here. They’re going to see it in Congress. This thing can be investigated. All right. That’s the big point. Don’t cover it up, wherever it goes. But the only way I see it devolving to the locals is if there’s an agreement that the locals will cover that roof, and they just didn’t do it. And even then, the Service should have been up there doing a pre-event survey and saying, hey, we should go for that roof?”
