Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Launch Tomorrow: What to Expect
Royal Enfield is set to unveil its much-anticipated Guerrilla 450 tomorrow, July 17th, at a global launch event in Barcelona, Spain. The event kicks off at 11:30 PM IST, with the official price, specifications, and other details expected to be revealed around 12:30 AM IST. Positioned as a street naked in the sub-500cc segment, the Guerrilla 450 is poised to make a significant impact.
Modern-Retro Design
The Guerrilla 450 embraces Royal Enfield’s signature modern-retro aesthetic. Key design elements include a round LED headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a sleek tail section. The bike boasts a sporty stance and is expected to be offered in bold color combinations.
Expected Price and Powertrain
Priced competitively at around Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom), the Guerrilla 450 aims to undercut its adventure sibling, the Himalayan 450, while still offering a compelling package. It will share the same 452cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Himalayan 450, producing 40PS and 40Nm. However, a different tune is anticipated to match the Guerrilla’s sportier character.
Features and Variants
Two variants are expected: a more affordable option with a semi-digital instrument console, and a premium variant featuring a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. Both will likely offer the Tripper navigation pod as an option.
While the Guerrilla 450 shares the Himalayan’s engine, it features a conventional telescopic fork upfront instead of an upside-down unit. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends.
Competition
The Guerrilla 450 will directly compete with other popular options in the 400-500cc segment, including the Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Mavrick 440, and Harley-Davidson X440.
