Multi-Layered Vetting: San Bernardino Muslim Terrorist Passed National Security Check

Obama and the media have met every objection to dumping huge numbers of Syrian migrants, many of whom poll as supporting terrorists, with robotic claims that they will pass a "multi-layered vetting process". All this really means is interviews and a check of databases. If the terrorist doesn't blurt out "Death to America" during the interviews and never showed up on our radar, they're free and clear.

Police said the couple had entered the United States together in July 2014. Malik was traveling with a Pakistani passport and a K-1 visa. The visa, created specifically for fiancées, allows the holder to enter the country and marry a U.S. citizen. A couple must marry within 90 days; after that, the K-1 visa expires.

Farook applied for a permanent-resident green card for Malik within the legal 90-day limit, a federal official said. In July 2015, she was granted a conditional green card, for which, as a matter of procedure, the couple had to prove that their marriage was legitimate. Additionally, Malik had to pass criminal and national-security background checks.

There was just one minor problem. Malik pledged allegiance to ISIS.

U.S. investigators are evaluating evidence that Malik, a Pakistani native who had been living in Saudi Arabia when she married Farook, had pledged allegiance to Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, two U.S. officials told Reuters. They said the finding, if confirmed, could be a "game changer" in the investigation.

CNN reported on Friday that one U.S. official said Malik had pledged allegiance to al-Baghdadi in a posting on Facebook made on Wednesday, the day of the attack, under an account that used a different name.

Migrant apologists will claim that the check the refugees pass will be more "intensive", but that's nonsense. Either we have information on someone or we don't.

We have no information tying Mrs. Jihadi to any known terrorists. So she was in and that was that. And the rest you saw on the evening news.

That's what two Muslims managed to do. Obama's first batch of 10,000 Syrian migrants is statistically likely to include at least 1,300 ISIS supporters. Imagine what they can do.
