San Bernardino gunwoman reportedly pledged allegiance to ISIS on Facebook

Investigators may have found evidence of the San Bernardino shooters' ties to ISIS, CNN reports. Officials say they found a Facebook post allegedly made by suspected female shooter Tashfeen Malik during the time of the shooting, in which she reportedly pledged allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Officials offered no explanation as to how they made the connection between Malik and the account.

Investigators believe that Malik's husband, Syed Farook, may have had "soft connections" with contacts overseas, meaning his communications were infrequent. However, the motive of the attack remains unclear, as do the couple's potential ties to radical terrorist organizations.

"At this point we believe they were more self-radicalized and inspired by the group than actually told to do the shooting," one of the officials said.

The shooting Wednesday in San Bernardino at Inland Regional Center left 14 dead and 21 injured.
