Deepika Padukone is all set to play a cop on screen for the first time. It was during the launch of the Circus movie song Current Laga in 2022 that director Rohit Shetty announced that the actress would play Lady Singham. She's the first female cop in Shetty's Cop Universe (movies). Everyone is excited to see what DP brings as Shakti Shetty in Singham again. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have worked in several movies together. The actress made her debut in Om Shanti Om (2007), which also stars the superstar. The duo also did Rohit Shetty's action comedy, Chennai Express. Everyone loved their characters, Rahul and Meenamma. On the sets of CE, the superstar addressed DP as 'Singham 5'. Fans believe what Khan envisioned years ago: that the actress would play the cop in Shetty's popular franchise.
A few hours ago, Deepika shared a BTS video from the sets of Chennai Express. The Piku action captioned it, "How many times do you think I've had to repeat this dialogue!? Sahi jawaab ko milega 'Ek Bakwaas Dictionary'!!!" In the comments section, one fan wrote, "Most favourite one. Btw, Shah kind of envisioned it before anyone else that you would be doing a Singham movie." Another commented, "Shah Rukh Khan had a vision that you would be a part of Singham.

Along with Om Shanti Om and Chennai Express, SRK and DP have worked together on Happy New Year and Jawan. Singham Again will mark Deepika Padukone's second full-fledged collaboration with Rohit Shetty. Along with Deepika, Singham Again also stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff. It is all set to release in theatres on November 1, 2024.

Singham Again will mark DP's third release in 2024. The actress appeared in two movies this year: Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD. The actress, who is married to Ranveer Singh, is pregnant. She is in her third trimester and is expected to deliver the baby in September.
