ArmInfo. Arsen Ayvazyan, Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, has received the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation of the US Department of Justice) delegation headed by Alexander Tiguy, legal attache in Armenia and Georgia.  During the meeting, Ayvazyan presented the structural and functional features of Armenia's investigative system, as well as the progress of reforms being implemented in the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

The parties discussed new opportunities and formats for enhancing  cooperation, building upon the already established foundation. They  emphasized the importance of improving the effectiveness of  preliminary investigations for crimes that present a significant  public threat, as well as continuing to share information and  expertise in criminal proceedings. Alexander Tiguy expressed  confidence that cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of  the two countries, as well as the further implementation of joint  programs aimed at strengthening the Investigative Committee of  Armenia, will significantly intensify the efforts made by both sides  in the criminal-legal fight against transnational crimes. This  cooperation will also contribute to the development of the criminal  justice sector in Armenia.
