Investigative Committee of Armenia, FBI discuss new opportunities and formats for developing cooperation

Arsen Ayvazyan, Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, has received the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation of the US Department of Justice) delegation headed by Alexander Tiguy, legal attache in Armenia and Georgia. During the meeting, Ayvazyan presented the structural and functional features of Armenia's investigative system, as well as the progress of reforms being implemented in the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
The parties discussed new opportunities and formats for enhancing cooperation, building upon the already established foundation. They emphasized the importance of improving the effectiveness of preliminary investigations for crimes that present a significant public threat, as well as continuing to share information and expertise in criminal proceedings. Alexander Tiguy expressed confidence that cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries, as well as the further implementation of joint programs aimed at strengthening the Investigative Committee of Armenia, will significantly intensify the efforts made by both sides in the criminal-legal fight against transnational crimes. This cooperation will also contribute to the development of the criminal justice sector in Armenia.
