Traffic cops rev up action against Upvan stunt bikers, over 1K fined

The Thane traffic police has cracked the whip on auto drivers and rash bikers violating the law in various parts of the city. A surprise drive was conducted in Vartak Nagar area on Monday where nine auto drivers were booked for parking at no-parking spots. Meanwhile, the police have also started action on bikers involved in rash driving and stunts at the Upvan lake area premises. Cops have filed nearly 1,005 cases till Sunday on stunt bikers, rash drivers including those driving under the influence of alcohol.
