Is Stree 2 ending inspired by Marvel's Avengers? Rajkummar Rao reacts
Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, was released on August 15, 2024, and has taken the box office by storm. The movie received an overwhelming response from both critics and fans, quickly becoming a huge success. In just a short time, Star 2 has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the worldwide box office, making it the biggest blockbuster of the year. The film, directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande, is the sequel to the 2018 hit Stree and is part of Dinesh's popular horror-comedy universe.
One of the most talked-about aspects of Stree 2 is its ending, which many viewers have compared to the popular Avengers films. The comparison has sparked a lot of conversation, with fans calling it the 'Indian Avengers.' When Rajkummar Rao was asked about this comparison in an interview, he was surprised but pleased. He told Bollywood Hungama entertainment news portal that if a film made with a modest budget like Star Wars is being compared to a big-budget blockbuster like Avengers, it's a great achievement for the team, especially for director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan.
Another thing the audience compared with Marvel is Akshay Kumar's character. The post-credit scene has left many wondering if Akshay will be the Thanos of Maddock Film's horror-comedy universe. So far, the writer and director have only said that they're thankful for the Sarfira actor doing the special appearance. They haven't commented on whether Akshay is the supervillain in their franchise.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Rajkummar Rao shared a BTS picture of the deleted scene from Stree 2. In the photos, the Newton actor is dressed in women's clothes. Rao captioned the post, "#Stree2 One of my favourite scenes from the film which didn't make it to the Final Cut. Kya aap log dekhna chahte hain ye scene film mein? Aap sab batao?" On his birthday on August 31, Rajkummar Rao a new movie titled Maalik, a gangster drama. This is the first time the actor will be seen in such an action-packed role as a gangster. The poster shows him holding a gun, hinting at the intensity of his character. On his Instagram page, the Stree 2 actor wrote, "#Maalik ki duniya mein aapka Swagat hai. Shoot shuru ho chuka hai, jald hi mulaqat hogi!"
