QA Manager : Take-Two Interactive
Are you an expert in video game quality assurance (QA)? Do you have a passion for innovation and pushing the boundaries of traditional game development? If so, you might be a great fit for the QA manager position at the studio formally known as Irrational Games. In this role you would manage the complete QA process for our new, unannounced project. You would lead both a small internal QA team and manage a large team of 3rd party external testers. You would also be responsible for identifying, developing, documenting and implementing QA processes and test plans that will be critical to success of the project.
Responsibilities:
Manage internal QA team.
Manage the productivity, efficiencies and effectiveness of an external 3rd Party QA team.
Ensure that schedules are adhered to and deadlines are met.
Identify, refine, document and implement all QA practices and processes.
Identify and manage all necessary QA tools.
Work with developers to ensure quality needs are met and issues are tracked down in a timely manner and fixed as quickly as possible.
Manage build processes and provide build notes.
Manage bug database to ensure that it is free of duplicates and that all bugs are assigned to appropriate team members.
Write and maintain test plans for the QA team.
Assist in the hiring and training of the QA staff. This includes the vetting of external 3rd Party QA support.
Coordinate and facilitate needs of the QA department to management and project leads.
What We’re Looking For:
Have shipped at least 2 titles as a QA Lead.
Minimum of 5 years of QA experience.
Experience leading a QA team in game development from concept to ship.
Experience building a QA team (interviewing and reviewing candidates).
Experience using software bug tracking software.
Experience interacting and/or managing external QA leads and teams.
Experience testing games using the Unreal Engine.
Experience creating and running test plans and documentation for highly systemic games.
Experience launching PC titles on Steam.
Must be eligible to work in the US and willing to relocate to Boston.
Experience with Hansoft.
Additional Requirements
Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Passion for narrative First Person Shooters a plus.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a cohesive development team.
