DevOps Engineer: ROBLOX

Responsibilities:

Maintaining a 99.9% SLA for a 24/7/365 production environmentDeveloping automation to automatically detect and recover production issues in all layers from hardware, configuration, networking, and vendor outages, and continuous software upgradesQuickly resolving complex problems encountered during the installation and operation of our applications, to ensure negligible impact on players and internal operationsPrioritizing and multitasking daily responsibilities, while being flexible enough to respond to emergent high-priority issuesDesigning, deploying and configuring extremely complex computing environments characteristic of large-scale gaming systemsLeading in the execution of disaster recovery procedures and system failover effortsCollaborating with highly skilled and driven colleagues in a dynamic, agile environmentManaging systems and developing contingency plansParticipating in on-call rotations

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience3-5 years of experience in ops-related systems implementationExpertise and comfortability in both Windows and LinuxExtensive experience in scripting; preferably with PowerShell or PythonExperience with C, C++, Java, C#, or another object-oriented languageExperience with server performance and failure monitoring/diagnosticsGreat to have:

Working knowledge of a continuous integration platform such as Jenkins or TeamCityExperience with automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Orchestra, etc.)
