Systems Engineer: ROBLOX

Responsibilities:

Maintain a 99.9% SLA for a 24/7/365 production environmentTriage, troubleshoot, and solve production issues caused by failures in hardware, configuration, networking, vendor outages, and continuous software upgradesQuickly resolve complex problems encountered during the installation and operation of our applications, to ensure negligible impact on players and internal operationsPrioritize and multitask daily responsibilities, while being flexible enough to respond to emergent high-priority issuesDesign, deploy and configure servers and complex firewall environmentsAssist in implementing disaster recovery procedures and system failover effortsCollaborate with highly skilled and driven colleagues in a dynamic, agile environmentCollect, document and help manage vendor-related servicesManage systems and develop contingency plansParticipate in on-call rotations

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience3-5 years of experience in ops-related systems implementationExtensive knowledge of Windows and Linux (Redhat preferred)Extensive knowledge of core networking technologies, routers, switches firewall and load balancersKnowledge of hardware, security and database capacityKnowledge of at least one object oriented programming language in your past. C++, C#, Python, Powershell, Ruby, Java, etc. (does not need to be current)Knowledge of automation and related toolsPerks & Benefits:
