Hyundai Unveils the New Alcazar Starting at INR 14.99 Lakh
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has officially launched the new Alcazar, a 6- and 7-seater SUV packed with advanced features, at a starting price of INR 14.99 lakh for the 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol variant and INR 15.99 lakh for the 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel variant.
New Alcazar Design
Developed under Hyundai’s “Sensuous Sportiness” design philosophy, the SUV boasts a wider and taller stance. Up front, it features a distinctive new grille with dark chrome accents, H-shaped LED DRLs, quad-beam LED headlamps, and a redesigned front bumper with a skid plate for added ruggedness. The rear sports connected LED taillamps, sequential turn indicators, and a new spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, adding to its modern appearance.
The Alcazar rides on new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and features roof rails, black-painted cladding, and a sleek overall profile. At 4,560mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,710mm tall (with roof rails), it commands a strong road presence, while its 2,760mm wheelbase ensures a spacious cabin.
Interior
Inside, the Alcazar offers a luxurious and tech-focused cabin. The dual-tone interior, finished in noble brown and haze navy, provides a premium feel. The 6-seater version features ventilated captain’s seats in the second row, while the 7-seater offers a seat-tumble mechanism for easy access to the third row. Hyundai has introduced thoughtful comfort features such as a thigh cushion extension, ventilated seats in both the first and second rows, a wing-type headrest, and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function.
The Alcazar also incorporates cutting-edge technology, including a 26.03 cm (10.25-inch) digital cluster and infotainment system, complete with JioSaavn music streaming and built-in navigation. The system supports over 70 Bluelink connected features, with Hindi voice commands and smartwatch compatibility. Customers can enjoy a variety of ambient sounds and dual-zone automatic climate control, while wireless charging is available for all three rows.
Performance
The new Hyundai Alcazar is powered by two engine options, offering both power and efficiency. The 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol engine delivers 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque and is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Hyundai claims a fuel efficiency of up to 18 km/l for the DCT variant, making it an ideal choice for spirited driving.
For those prioritising fuel economy, the 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine produces 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The diesel variant offers a fuel efficiency of up to 20.4 km/l. The Alcazar also comes equipped with driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport) and traction modes (Snow, Mud, Sand), adding versatility across different terrains.
New Alcazar Colours
The Hyundai Alcazar will be offered in 9 colours with 8 mono-tone options including Robust Emerald Matte, Titan Grey Matte, Robust Emerald, Starry Night, Ranger Khakhi, Fiery Red, Abyss Black, Atlas White and 1 dual-tone colour option available in Atlas White with Black Roof.
Safety
Hyundai’s SmartSense Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is offered, with 19 features that include Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot View Monitor. In addition, the SUV comes with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including six airbags, hill-start assist, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, and all four disc brakes.
The Alcazar’s strong body structure, reinforced with advanced high-strength steel, ensures occupant safety in the event of a collision. Other safety features include rain-sensing wipers, a surround-view monitor, hill-descent control, and front parking sensors.
