Diplomatic honeymoon between Armenia, Azerbaijan developing into diplomatic tension - MP
ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities make it clear that their resource of compliance is not unlimited and carries the danger of serious upheavals within the country. This is how Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the opposition faction With Honor, commented on the latest public exchange of mutual accusations between the foreign ministries of Armenia and Azerbaijan on the draft peace treaty.
According to him, in Baku, they continue to claim that speaking from the position of the winner gives them the right to constantly demand and receive.
"Over the past 2-3 weeks, the diplomatic "honeymoon" between Armenia and Azerbaijan has gradually turned into a diplomatic "shootout". This situation has led the parties to another deadlock, from which there are opportunities to get out, but this will either entail new concessions for Armenia, or may lead to tensions on the border," the oppositionist wrote on his Facebook page. It should be noted that the Azerbaijani authorities continue to put forward more and more demands to Armenia for the conclusion of the so-called peace treaty. At first, the enemy side demanded Artsakh and the abolition of the Defense Army, having received all this, now demands a change in the Constitution of Armenia and some enclaves, while not wanting to do anything in return. And in order to get what they want, the Azerbaijani authorities are permanently threatening a new war. All this is happening against the background of the fact that the international community turns a blind eye to such actions of Baku, which contradict universal international norms, including the inadmissibility of the threat or use of force.
