U.S. stocks mark 3rd straight drop as oil takes a turn lower
U.S. stocks reversed course to finish down on Wednesday, led by a selloff in technology and consumer discretionary sectors. The main indexes posted losses for a third straight day. Stocks briefly rallied in early trade, following a rebound in oil futures, however those gains soon evaporated. The S&P 500 fell 15.95 points, or 0.8%, to 2,047.64. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 75.36 points, or 0.4%, to 17,492.64. The Nasdaq Composite was hardest hit, losing 75.388 points, or 1.5%, to 5,022.87.
