Hefty compensation likely for land acquired from farmers

Farmers can expect a bounty as the state prepares a draft bill to implement UPA's flagship `The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013' in state. The state government may give as much as three to four times compensation for land acquired from farmers for urban, peri-urban, industrial and service industry.
