No fresh GU senate, syndicate elections to be held says govt

The Common University Act is back to haunt Gujarat's academic circles. On December 7, when the term of the senate and syndicate -the two elected bodies of Gujarat University -ended, the state government said no further elections should be held for these two bodies, thus stoking fears of autonomy being lost.
