Food illnesses test Chipotle’s good-citizen calling card

A series of food poisonings and other challenges threaten the reputation of the fast food industry’s darling, which has long promised more rigorous standards than usual. This week, at least 80 students fell ill in Boston. Last month, 43 restaurants on the West Coast were closed after an E. coli outbreak.
