Two Dutch jokers told people select Bible verses were from the Quran. Guess what happened next?
Last Friday, before Donald Trump proposed banning all Muslims from traveling to the U.S. but after the Islamist terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, a Dutch duo called Dit Is Normal posted a video where they covered a Bible with the cover from a Quran, then read pedestrians some "verses that are in great contrast with our Western norms and values," according to their English subtitles. Then they asked the people what they thought those violent, misogynistic, or otherwise objectionable verses said about Islam. The responses are just about what you would expect, only perhaps maybe a little more polite. The most interesting thing about the video, which currently has been viewed more than 5.8 million times, is how polite and contrite the people are after they learned they were tricked (on camera, no less) — and also that in the Netherlands, people apparently swear in English. Watch below.
