Breaking News: Kogi Speaker, Deputy, Minority Leader Impeached
Momoh Jimoh-Lawal, the speaker of Kogi state House of Assembly has been reportedly impeached.
The Nation reports that he was impeached today, December 10.

The Kogi speaker was impeached alongside his deputy, Aliyu Aku and minority leader, Hassan Bello.
He has been replaced by Hon. Godwin Osiyi representing Ogori-magongo who was been elected as the new speaker while Hon. James Eneche from Olamaboro is the new minority leader.

Jimoh-Lawal was reportedly removed by the 17 out of 25 members of the Kogi State House of Assembly.
He had been re-elected as speaker of the inaugurated 6th legislative assembly of the state in June. His election followed the inauguration of the new assembly by Governor Idris Wada, at the assembly complex in Lokoja.
