The devastating rains that have been wreaking havoc in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu have already claimed the lives of at least 347 people and stranded thousands more.

A video has recently surfaced of the Avadi-Poonamalle bridge in Chennai collapsing as people from both sides stare in horror. The bridge broke down because of the corrosion caused to its foundation by the heavy rains.
