Tacconi reportedly turned down a team in the past fearing limited trophy success.
In an exclusive revelation to *Quotidiano Sportivo*, Stefano Tacconi, the former Juventus star, shed light on a significant transfer decision from his past.
“I turned down Inter and stayed at Avellino for another year,” Tacconi mentioned.
He was well aware that a move to Milan would likely see him as second choice behind Bordon.
Tacconi elaborated, “I decided to clear the path for my friend Walter Zenga, who then went on to have an extraordinary career.”
The following year, Tacconi joined Juventus, where his career blossomed.
He remarked, “With the Bianconeri, I won everything I could win.”
Reflecting on the choices he made, Tacconi added, “Had I gone to Inter, I would have lifted very few trophies in those years, so let’s say I’m pleased with my decision.”
