Inter reportedly halted summer transfer for player due to management intervention

0

In a detailed analysis by *Calciomercato.com* concerning Tomas Palacios, an intriguing backstory about Inter Milan’s summer transfer window has been revealed, particularly regarding the club’s failure to acquire Swiss full-back Ricardo Rodriguez.

The analysis highlights the strategic choice made by Inter’s new American owners, Oaktree. “The type of investment preferred by the new ownership was focused on young and promising talent,” reported *Calciomercato.com*.

They added, “Oaktree had vetoed the signings of the more experienced Ricardo Rodriguez and Mario Hermoso, who were available on the free agent market but eventually joined Betis and Roma respectively.”

Palacios had his first training session with Inter on 6th September and made his debut against Empoli on 30th October. This timeline aligned with the regime set by manager Simone Inzaghi.

Simone Inzaghi, the Italian champion manager, is known to apply a consistent approach to nurturing young foreign players. “The method involves working patiently to earn Inzaghi’s trust, with the hope of eventually repaying it on the field,” the analysis conveyed.
