U.S. stocks open higher, on track to end 3-day losing streak
U.S. stocks opened slightly higher on Thursday but switched between marginal gains and losses after the opening bell, as investors remained cautious in light of volatility in commodity markets. All three major indexes were moving higher within a tight range a few minutes after the opening bell. The S&P 500 was up 6.25 points or 0.3% at 2,053. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 4.36 points or 25.52 points or 0.15%, at 17,519. The Nasdaq Composite began the session up 11.11 points 0.2%, to 5,034.
