The 6,500 war heroes employed at the Avant Garde Company will be found alternative employment by the Defence Ministry if they are deprived of their jobs at Avant Garde by its Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi, Defence State Minister Ruwan Wijewardene said.
Wijewardene said none of the 6,500 war heroes employed at Avant Garde had lost their jobs so far although Senadhipathi persistently claimed that they had lost their employment after the armouries in the commercial vessels owned by Avant Garde were transferred to the Navy.
