Service sector in Armenia grew by 5.9% in January-September, reaching 2.4 trillion drams

YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. The service sector in Armenia in January-September 2024 amounted to over 2.4nbsp;trillion drams (in current prices), increasing by 5.9% compared to the same period in 2023, the National Statistical Committee reported.br At the same time, in September 2024, the sector grew by over 304.7 billion drams, an increase of 11.6% compared to 2023 September, while a decrease of 2.5% was recorded compared to August of 2024.nbsp;/pp

Financial and insurance services amounted to 748 billion drams with a growth of 22% compared to the same period of the past year. Information and communications services nbsp;amounted to over 430.6 billion drams with a decline of 8.4%, transportation services dropped to over 284.2 billion drams (decline of 13.4%), accommodation and catering services grew by 8% to over 257.6 billion dramsnbsp; and culture, entertainment, and recreation services upped by 10% to nbsp;224.8 billion drams./pp

Professional, scientific, and technical services grew by 14% to 119.5 billion drams, while the health care and social services showed an 8% increase to 115.6 billion drams./pp/pp

The real estate sector services increased by 12.9% to 99.5 billion drams, administrative and support services grew by 6.7% to 84 billion drams, and education services rose by 4.9% to 59.6 billion drams. ($1 - 387.36 drams).-0-/pp/p
