Armenia’s domestic trade in 9 months amounts to 4.4 trillion drams with a growth of about 20%

YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. Armenia’s domestic trade turnover from January to September of the current year amounted to over 4.4 trillion (in current prices), increasing by 19.5% compared to the same period in 2023, the National Statistical Committee reported./pp

In September 2024 alone, the domestic trade amounted to over 556.1 billion drams, an increase of 13.4% compared to September 2023, and 0.5% compared to August of the same year./pp

Of the total volume, the wholesale trade turnover amounted to over 2.9 trillion drams, the retail trade turnover was over 1.3 trillion drams, and the automobile trade turnover was 175.1 billion drams./pp

Of the retail trade, stores accounted for over 1.1 trillion drams, an increase of 11.4%, consumer goods markets accounted for 48.1 billion drams (an increase of 2.7%), kiosks – for 16.3 billion drams (0%), agricultural product markets for 11.1 billion drams (a decrease of 7.2%), and other trade outlets for over 145.2 billion drams (a decrease of 3.4%).
