YEREVAN, November 7. /ARКА/. The Armenian side is interested in intensifying meetings with Azerbaijan, which will allow for the text of a peace treaty to be agreed upon as soon as possible, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan said./pp “There are no changes in the articles of the treaty transferred to Azerbaijan. There are issues that remain unresolved. Negotiations between the parties are ongoing,” Kostanyan told reporters./pp

The deputy minister noted that there is no specific agreement yet on holding an Armenian-Azerbaijani meeting at the level of ministers or leaders of the two countries./pp

The Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Tuesday that it had received a response from Baku to its latest proposals on the draft treaty, which was the 11th version of the document that the parties have exchanged over more than two years of negotiations./pp

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had earlier suggested that Armenia and Azerbaijan move forward with signing a peace deal based on the parts of the draft text that both sides had already agreed upon, which he estimated to be about 80 percent of the document. Pashinyan suggested that any remaining issues could be addressed later. However, Baku rejected that approach.-0-/p
