Born and raised in Jamaica and a proud Canadian for forty years, Karen lives and works in Oakville where she runs her own editing and publishing consulting company. A thirty-year veteran of the book publishing industry, Karen has been a book lover and voracious reader all her life. Her other main loves in life are her husband, step-daughter, and two wheaten terriers. A Rotarian for three years and counting, she has actively participated from day one on various committees and on the board.

A long-time Oakville resident and Rotarian, John is the Sponsorship Chair for our Ribfest. The Three Major Elements Found in the Production of Festival

For children visiting Carassauga, a trip to the Kids Zone is a must see. It is the perfect place for younger Festival visitors because it was created just for kids 12 years and younger. We believe that no child should miss a camp experience because of money. Kids will make cool chemical reactions, do physics experiements, dissect stuff and have many more science adventures. There will also be parallels drawn between science and positive character lessons to help kids become successful adults.

Children explore engaging in both indoor and outdoor activities in a welcoming and exploratory environment. In late 2021 Kids’ Zone Lakeside opened a new Family-Age Group room to offer families a new experience in a mixed age group setting. Our Kids Zone is a fun place for families with kids to enjoy various games, rides and programs. The Kid Zone is supervised by Care in a Pinch (CIAP) team members. Jim has been a Rotarian for 29 years and is a past president of RCOT(97-98). He is a past president of RCOT and is active in many areas of Ribfest and other Rotary Fundraising and events. He is married with two children, has a PUN –ishing sense of humour. A longtime friend of the Oakville Trafalgar Rotary Club, currently volunteering as the Logistic Co-Chair for Oakville Family Ribfest. Barb is the proud mother of three adult children and Nonna to her beautiful grandson. The Kids’ Zone is a great place to let the kids have fun while still enjoying all that the Air Show has to offer.
