South's Lady Superstar Nayanthara married to Vignesh Shivan in the year 2022. However, it is now that a documentary revealing all about their love story and marriage has released on Netflix. Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale documentary is now streaming on Netflix. Before the documentary went live on OTT platform, Nayanthara wrote a shocking open letter on social media calling out Dhanush for not cooperating and providing NOC for a 3-second footage used in the film.
Nayanthara in legal trouble
In Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale, a 3-second long footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan film has been used. The film starred Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi and was directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film was produced by Dhanush, thus rights to the footage remain with him. Nayanthara penned a lengthy note stating that Dhanush is holding personal grudge against her and her partner. The matter shocked many and it has now reached court. As per latest reports in entertainment news sites, Dhanush has filed a lawsuit against her and Vignesh Shivan over the alleged use of the footage from the film. As per a report in The Hindu, Dhanush has moved to Madras High Court with his lawsuit and has urged the court to proceed with the case under jurisdiction provisions.
Earlier, Dhanush reportedly sent a Rs 10 crore legal notice to Nayanthara for using the 3-second clip which is allegedly a behind-the-scene footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan sets in her documentary. A lot of celebrities like Shruti Haasan, actor Parvathy and more have come out in support of Nayanthara.
In the open letter, Nayanthara wrote, "The vengeance that you have been festering against the film, my partner and I, doesn't just affect us but the people who have given their effort and time towards this project. This Netflix documentary about me, my life, my love and marriage includes clips of many of my industry well-wishers who have graciously contributed and memories from multiple films, but sadly does not include the most special and important film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan." It drew a lot of attention.
