Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal is all set to amaze fans with his upcoming historical drama, Chhava. The makers have pushed back its release date from December 2024 to February 2025. Analyst Taran Adarsh on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday evening announced the same on social media. Vicky starrer Chhava will avoid a clash with Allu Arjun's pan-India film Pushpa 2: The Rule.

The release date holds special significance since it coincides with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19 Feb 2025'.

Well, Chhava was initially slated to be released on December 6, 2024. This was one day after the nationwide release of Pushpa 2. As per the ongoing buzz that the Telugu action drama is receiving, it was expected to make more business than Chhava. Maybe this is the reason, why the makers of Chhava decided to shift the release date of their film.
Talking about Pushpa 2, it is directed by Sukumar and stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in main roles. Chhava is a biographical drama on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Maratha Emperor and the son of Shivaji Mahara. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Laxman Utekar. Vicky will play the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Rashmika will also feature in the film.
